User reviews of social performance assessment tools are available. These “peer” evaluations come from those who have experience using the tools and are designed to help potential users determine which tools best address their needs.
Additionally, in order to help you navigate the variety of available tools, SPTF has thought about the questions that Task Force members frequently ask and the functions they carry out, and created a “toolkit” for each stakeholder group that presents the tools and resources that seem most relevant. See below for links to the available toolkits and for an outline of how each is organized:
- The MFI toolkit has two sections, Initiatives and Tools & Resources, grouped by which of the following function(s) they serve:
- Set social goals and objectives
- Design systems to achieve social goals
- Assess and report social outputs
- Assess and report social outcomes
- The investor toolkit groups tools and resources into four sub-categories according to their respective primary purpose:
- Clarify MIV Social Objectives and Strategies for Social Performance
- Use Tools to Assess Social Performance of Investees
- Use Externally Produced Social Performance Reports to Supplement Due Diligence
- Demonstrate MIV Social Performance
- The associations toolkit is under development.
