Communications – Chair: Elizabeth Downs
This working group will set up a structure through which the Social Performance Task Force (and its working groups) can communicate the work that it is doing, both at present and on an ongoing basis. It will also focus on disseminating information about social indicators in order to maximize buy-in within the microfinance industry.
1. Create and implement a schedule, template and messages to disseminate announcements and information to the microfinance community re: work of the task force and sub-committees.
2. Update www.sptf.info and Microfinance Gateway “Hot Topics” on a monthly basis.
3. Monthly email blast on a particular topic of social performance—brief description in email with links to “Hot Topics” or www.sptf.info where people can read more.
4. Quarterly updates to the SPTF via email, which link to each working group’s quarterly update.
5. Work with each stakeholder group of the SPTF to create tailored introductory materials and PowerPoint presentations for different audiences.
6. Target two events (workshops or conferences) per quarter to advertise/disseminate work on SPTF.
7. Work with the Social Indicators and other working groups on increasing participation in the report through communications by providing them with collateral and other material.
8. Survey MFIs who have NOT participated to better understand the reluctance.
